Kytec rebrands & expands managed IT services for SMB AI growth
Kytec has announced the launch of a new brand identity alongside an expanded focus on providing managed IT services to Australian small and medium-sized businesses as they increasingly seek to adopt artificial intelligence-driven transformation initiatives.
The company, which has operated for over 20 years supporting Australia’s mid-market enterprises and public sector agencies, unveiled a refreshed visual identity and logo. The rebrand aligns with Kytec’s commitment to agility and closer customer partnerships as it aims to bolster digital capabilities for organisations aiming to stay competitive in the AI era.
The rebranding effort arrives as Kytec accelerates efforts to address the IT transformation needs of Australian SMBs, many of whom are navigating significant changes driven by the adoption of new AI technologies.
Kytec has introduced a set of managed services tailored to help SMBs manage the costs and risks associated with technology change. These services are designed to assist companies in rearchitecting their business processes, streamlining and securing workflows, and improving both customer and employee experiences.
David Okulicz, Chief Executive Officer at Kytec, said the company would continue to focus on the type of transformation projects it is known for, while now extending those capabilities to a wider range of clients.
“The core transformation work we’ve long been known for – helping businesses transform operations and the customer experience – will continue across the enterprise and mid-market,” says David Okulicz, CEO, Kytec.
He noted that the expansion into the SMB sector would make advanced consulting services more accessible to organisations that might previously have lacked the resources to engage top-tier digital transformation expertise.
“What’s especially exciting now is bringing those same capabilities to the SMB market. By combining our managed services with deep advisory and implementation expertise, we’re delivering high-value consulting that’s traditionally been out of reach for smaller businesses. SMBs often lack the resources for top-tier guidance and end up navigating change on their own. As their MSP, we’re uniquely positioned to bridge that gap by leveraging day-to-day support insights to help drive transformation. It’s a powerful capability no one else is offering.”
Kytec’s offering encompasses working directly with businesses to identify specific operational challenges, choose the best solutions for implementation, and support scalable IT infrastructure that enhances the use of AI while maintaining cost efficiency.
Okulicz explained that as the opportunity presented by AI grows, many smaller businesses are seeking to re-evaluate and update their operations in order to make the most of new technologies.
“As SMBs look to differentiate themselves, the quantum of the AI opportunity on offer means more businesses are looking to make changes to unleash their full growth potential,” says Okulicz.
He further noted the role of business practices in growth and the importance of intelligently redesigning these with the aid of AI.
“This means taking a fresh look at the business and how it operates. Businesses grow organically and slowly build up ways of working that enable them to run successfully. These patterns, practices, and processes make each business unique and our managed services are designed to support them, so leaders can focus on injecting intelligence and agentic AI into the way these practices are designed, delivered and executed.”
Recent data from the National AI Centre’s Adoption Tracker indicates that more than 80 per cent of Australian organisations with between 200 and 500 employees, as well as 68 per cent of small and medium-sized enterprises, are actively attempting to incorporate AI into their operations.
The Productivity Commission has forecast that widespread AI adoption could contribute an additional AUD $116 billion to the Australian economy over the coming decade through productivity gains.
According to the same Adoption Tracker, the key business outcomes sought from AI are faster access to accurate data for decision-making, improved resource optimisation, and better employee experiences and engagement.
Okulicz commented on the importance of timely action for those businesses looking to take advantage of these opportunities.
